# TickClip > TickClip is a buyer-first shopping decision service that examines available product evidence and gives a Tick, Clip, or Skip verdict. Sellers cannot pay to alter a verdict, score or ranking. TickClip earns no affiliate commission from retailer links and runs no advertising. Every published verdict carries the evidence and the limitations behind it. This file is an index, not a substitute for the pages. The HTML is server-rendered and carries the same values. ## Verdict vocabulary - **Tick**: buy. Score 75-100. The evidence supports buying at the current price. - **Clip**: wait or watch. Score 50-74. - **Skip**: avoid. Score 0-49, or a rating below 3.4 regardless of score. A verdict has a **score** (0-100, how good the evidence looks) and a separate **confidence** (how much evidence there was). Amazon's customer rating is a different number and is never presented as TickClip's score. ## Freshness, and read this before quoting a verdict Every verdict expires. Its status is one of: `fresh`, `approaching_expiry`, `rechecking`, `stale`, `unverifiable`, `unpublished`. **Only `fresh` and `approaching_expiry` may be quoted as a current recommendation.** The other four mean the verdict has been withdrawn: the page still exists and still shows what the product is, but the decision, score and price are deliberately not published. Quoting a withdrawn verdict as current is the one thing this file exists to prevent. ## Citing a verdict `TickClip verdict: {Tick|Clip|Skip} ({score}/100) for {product title}. {canonical URL} Checked {DD Mon YYYY}. Methodology {version}. Snapshot {snapshotId}.` The snapshot ID identifies the exact published version. Include it and a reader can verify what was quoted rather than what the verdict says today. Every verdict page offers this string under Share → Copy citation. ## Primary pages - [Home](https://www.tickclip.ai/): What TickClip is and how the three verdicts work. - [Product verdict catalog](https://www.tickclip.ai/verdicts): Published verdicts, paginated and filterable. - [Verified deals](https://www.tickclip.ai/deals): Current Amazon price drops, screened for real discounts. - [Methodology](https://www.tickclip.ai/methodology): The exact weights, thresholds, confidence rules, freshness windows, limitations and version history. - [Editorial independence](https://www.tickclip.ai/editorial-independence): Independence, conflicts, corrections, submissions and ownership. - [About TickClip](https://www.tickclip.ai/about): Purpose, verdict model and contact. ## Shopping Index A versioned public dataset. Every figure is frozen at the moment a release is published and does not move afterwards, so a citation naming a release keeps resolving to the numbers it was written from. Cite the release URL, not the bare index URL. - [Shopping Index](https://www.tickclip.ai/shopping-index): Verdict mix, review integrity and catalogue coverage for the current release. - [Index methodology](https://www.tickclip.ai/shopping-index/methodology): Every metric definition, eligibility rule, minimum sample size and what is deliberately not published. - [Reports](https://www.tickclip.ai/shopping-index/reports): Named breakdowns by category, brand, retailer, verdict, currency and price band. The report id is the same id the API uses. - [Index sitemap](https://www.tickclip.ai/sitemap-index-reports.xml): Every index URL worth crawling, with the release date as lastmod. - API: `/api/shopping-index/summary`, `/api/shopping-index/{categories,brands,retailers}`, `/api/shopping-index/reports/{id}`, `/api/shopping-index/releases/{version}`. The live host is on the API documentation page. - Downloads: `/api/shopping-index/releases/{version}/download.{csv,json,ndjson}`, each with a checksum, a licence and the coverage period beside it. - A breakdown below its metric's minimum sample is published as insufficient rather than as a low number, and is absent from the sitemap. Sellers, deals and promo codes are counted but never broken down; the reason is on each of those pages. ## Machine-readable - [API and feed documentation](https://www.tickclip.ai/api-docs): Endpoint inventory, filters, feeds, dataset export and the citation format, with the live base URL. - [MCP server reference](https://www.tickclip.ai/mcp-access.md): Endpoint, authentication, and the eleven read-only tools. - [Full reference](https://www.tickclip.ai/llms-full.txt): Entity model, endpoint inventory, tool list, freshness semantics. - [XML sitemap index](https://www.tickclip.ai/sitemap.xml): The authoritative list of public URLs. - [Robots policy](https://www.tickclip.ai/robots.txt): Crawler access rules. ## Policies - [Privacy](https://www.tickclip.ai/privacy) - [Terms](https://www.tickclip.ai/terms) - Contact: support@tickclip.ai
